A lot of Americans don't remember we are one huge DXCC entity larger than
all of Europe, and Europe is a lot of entities close together; the QRM is
astonishing, I've been on that side to hear it.

We have similar local QRM during the November Sweepstakes...

Hi Jim,

What receive antenna do you suggest to suppress S9+ qrm in Europe?
3dbs +/- in power will not make a difference at all, but loacation and
antennas do 10db+ easily.
You should come over and try to run a frequency with 100-400W.
You know, we have no noise to pull somebody out, just heavy qrm most of the
time.

This includes building receive antennas with better noise immunity, chasing
down and cleaning up noise sources, and using chokes to keep RF off of your
feedlines. One of the things that I'm proudest of is that I pulled some QRP
stations out of the noise, including one JA running 1 watt!
