    It is a well known fact that weak contacts on the sockets can melt 
the solder on the tube fil. pins. If you find this has happened it is 
best to get all the solder out of the fil. pins and re-solder with 
silver solder. For a lead on this e-mail me direct and I'll tell you 
where/how to get the complete info.!!!
