This may be part of a Kalmus distributed amplifier. I recall being shown a 
similar unit
when visiting the Kalmus plant at Kirkland WA in the mid 80's.

Regarding the Marconi H1000 distributed amplifier, I'm sure Peter G3RZP can 
tell us more.
