Same thing, sorry for the confusion. 

Grid Dip Meter = Grid Dip Oscillator

Often the name itself is wrong because newer ones use transistors
which have no grid of course. Old habits die hard. :-)

"Dip Meter" would be a more accurate name, I'd think.
