FWIW, both Alpha and Ten-Tec amps run the 4CX800A at >2000 V. In both cases I
believe the loaded Ep is ~2700 V. The Peter Dahl replacement transformer for
the Alpha 87A has a 2050-Vac secondary, which should provide ~2900 Vdc
unloaded. The Svetlana datasheet for the 4CX800A gives a maximum plate voltage
of 2500.
