You did not mention the dimensions of the material you need. Don't they use

No supply of this spring like beryllium copper, according to Dennis at
Henry.
Anyone with an idea of where one might find a small amount to fashion a
replacement?
This connects to a bar attached to the center rod of the roller, and then to
the bar that carries the pick up wheel.  Needs to be thin and springy.
Thanks for any suggestions.
