Many knowlegable folks wouldn't dream of using PayPal. And those numbers are
growing quickly. Hate to say it, but I speak from personal experience. It's
spelled "I D E N T I T Y T H I E F T". There was a time in my life when I was
a big eBay-er. Now I spend my time looking under the tables at hamfests and
such for amp goodies. Maybe if I spent that time building rather than
stockpiling parts..... I'd actually get one on the air huh?
Quad 4CX350Fs on HF by fall or bust!
Thanks all for every tidbit of knowlege that I've been able to scavenge here!

Subject: [Amps] Paypal only
All,Those selling with "paypal only" are loosing a lot of money. I've been
watching several auctions on ebay for test equipment, just to see what they
went for, compared to others who accpeted money orders and cashiers checks. I
first saw a working Tek 466 storage scope, with a Tek Scope Mobile, and an
Astron 40 amp power supply sell for $130 dollars. This should have brought $250
to $300 easy. Why you ask, it had hardly any bids, and it was paypal only. It
had a hit counter though and showed around 80 views. Next, I watched two
working HP 8640B RF generators from the same guy go off. Again, both were
paypal only. Each got two bids, one went for $127, and the other for $123.
Normally these go for $220 to $250 easy with 8 to 10 bids. However, these sells
take money orders, etc. If your selling on ebay, you might think of
this.Best,Will_______________________________________________Amps mailing
