Lots of small differences...

Same pair of 3-500Zs, but more plate voltage, larger plate transformer,
separate filament transformer, larger antenna loading capacitor -- basically
just a beefed up version -- cabinet is even the same size and component
layout is nearly the same.

The 3K was the commercial version of the 2K series amps of its day.
