There is no reason to replace the cord if it is rated @ 300V *AND* the
device does not need Neutral (the 4th wire on 240V).
The current it will be required to handle @ 240V will be half of what it
handled at 120V. Should be good to go with the appropriate (to code) plug
and socket and new fuses. Don't forget the fuses!
