Hi All,
As already said in a previous post, i plan to build a 2m amp using a
4CX1500.
I found several designs, one on YU1AW's page , one in the ARRL Handbook and
one on N1BUG's home page.
This last one seems quite interesting as it is simple to build.
It uses a plate line with a 25pF/15 kV vacuum variable cap, the output is
taken via a flapper. No coupling caps, no Teflon, etc...
1) did anyone build such an amplifier "à la N1BUG" or knows someone who did
?
2) where can i find a suitable cap at a "ham" price ?
3) would it change a lot if i bend the plate line in a U shape to make the
anode case smaller ?
Greetings from Corsica, Patrick TK5EP
