I want to recall that the power supply in the 811H does not have enough output
to make much difference in power out when 572 B's are used. However.. if you
do install 572's, they will last almost forever as long as you do not get a
case of fumble fingers during tune-up
Something I have learned from the member's of this list is think in db gain,
not just a few added watts.
Fer instance: I went from a AL 80b, a dependable 750 watts out on 10 meters to
a AL 800H a dependable 1500 watts out on 10 meters. Gain: 3 db.
Things to be considered: do you have 220 v available? That's what the
MLA-2500 will like. The 811H on the other hand is perfectly happy to work on
110 v.
Yes, you can put a higher output power supply in that 811 h chassis to
accommodate the 572b's. But after a while you will probably come to the
conclusion that you're trying to re-invent the wheel rather than getting a
larger wheel to begin with.
Just a few points to ponder.

Daniel,
It might handle them on SSB only, no CW or AM. Also, I would think the tank
would have to be matched to the tubes, not sure because the plate resistance
will change.
