[Amps] Tempo 2000 - silver button

Does anyone know what the little silver button on the back of the Henry
Tempo 2000 Amp does?
I'm working on what I believe is a plate voltage problem, and as long as
that button is depressed, I have the plate voltage.
Release it and the voltage diminishes.  (I think it's the caps)
