The description fit in on TCC ceramic high-voltage capacitors of early 50's
vintage.
Similar capacitors were used in the Standard Radio CT5 5 kW CW/FSK transmitters
(CV445 or 5J/180E forced air cooled pentode PA) that were used in large numbers
in Sweden.
Capacitors in these transmitters had a 10 kV peak dielectric rating, and a kVAr
rating of 5 - 8.
They were used both as parts of Pi-L networks, and for plate coupling and DC
supply decoupling
purposes.
It is likely that the marking "KO.3551/S". refers to a customer reference code

Has anybody any information or links on old TCC (Telegraph
Condenser Co.)
ceramic high voltage capacitors please? Usually referred to as
"mushroom "
style. Are marked T.C.C. "KO.3551/S".
However is marked 1200pf. Grey, tubular, approx 28mm diameter and
100mm long.
Breakdown voltage? Suitable for rf coupling/decoupling?
Is the KO number a catalogue range or just an MOD supplier/factory
code?
Thanks!
Andy SP6AEG
