Oilite is porous bronze, saturated with oil. It needs to be
re-oiled occasionally.

By drilling c. a #57 hole in the casting above the oilite bearings'
felt oil wicks and injecting oil into the wick with a syringe. A
sloppier, lazier way is to use a G. C. pen-oiler to inject oil on the
shaft. next to the armature. 5w or 10w oil seems to work well.
