The Amperex 3-1000z/8164 datasheet shows class C operation at 6000 v @
700ma yielding 3200 watts out. At 4500 v @ 700 ms, class C operation yields
2250 watts out.
However for class B rf linear, they show typical operation at 3000 v @ 670
ma yielding 1360 watts out, althought for this class of service they still
list the maximum ratings as 6000 Vmax, 800 ma max.
So, stricly speaking, based on the mfgrs datasheet, it is *possible* but
you'd be running class C.
I know this is trivia, but maybe it is the source of the advertising claim.
