Hi Rich,
The size given above, in waveguide, would have a cutoff in the
vicinity of a Ghz but, since it has essentially zero length, it will have
zero attenuation.
It would take around a foot of waveguide of that cross section to
provide 50 dB attenuation.
A screened window will likely look better on an amp.
Honeycomb shielding would be great... if you can find some.
