Sirs,
A recent purchase netted me some interesting capacitors. Two of these are
1,000pF, 20KV, 90KVaR and weigh over two pounds apiece. Two others are 470pF,
20KV, 60KVaR and are around one pound apiece. Just absolutely beautiful,
bullet-proof RF power capacitors, all rated N1500, 20% tolerance, available
from Dr. Alex Gavva who appears on the ND2X.NET website.
My question for the reflector is on one of the shipment:
The capacitor is a 6,800pF, 12KV, "OTK," KVI-3 with no KVaR rating.
Is this capacitor okay to use as a plate blocker at 3KV DC anode voltage do you
think? The device is nearly four inches wide by 7/16ths of an inch thick, and
has a 20% rating as well.
Thanks,
Hal Mandel
