I have been looking through an old Amp Supply catalog, looking at the LK-800A, an amplifier using three 3CX800A7 triodes. We have a Cary LK-800 at PJ2T. They look like very similar amplifiers, with some differences in the front panel. Are they cousins? Brothers? How do they differ? Which came first? I think Denny Had was involved with both Amp Supply and Cary Audio (which makes tube-type audio amplifiers). 73, Jeff Maass K8ND Caribbean Contesting Consortium - PJ2T http://www.pj2t.org http://home.columbus.rr.com/jmaass/Radio/PJ2T_Aerial.htm |
