> How about resonant-choke filtering? This would work fine, Rich. The choke is very robust in this generator. However, I prefer to add the step-start and additional filter C in the vast cavern left by removing the choke, and taking advantage of having 4 kv under load on the 8877 anode. Less grid and plate current, and over 2.2 kw out without even getting close to any Eimac limits. 12 volts of bias gives me 180 ma ZSAC @ 4 kv key-down. Your mileage may vary. (((73))) Phil, K5PC |
