Adding a small inductor in series with the grid terminating resistor
reduces the input SWR of a grid-driven tetrode at 21 - 28 MHz, however,
the tradeoff is increased VHF instability at the anode-resonance freq. A
better solution is to add an adjustable shunt inductor in parallel with
the grid terminating resistor and tune it to the lowest SWR on the
frequency being used.
