These wonderful parts are variations on a theme -- APT has quietly been
building these things for years, though at lesser power and frequency specs.
They have some interesting app notes on their website.

Last time checked, Richardson Electronics was their primary disti. Prices --
at the time, surprisingly cheap compared to Motorola -- one example is the
ARF448, a 110W TO-220-like part good to 50+ MHz -- under $30, quantity 1.
