No, I didn't.
The best socket is one that grounds the grid pins with zero lead
length, but the problem is rooted in the internal construction of the
tube....not the socket. The way you correct it is you neutralize the
tube, or you use a Z7 with a grid flange instead of pin connections.
Of course you can make things worse with longer-than-needed and
especially when using thin grid leads...with or without a capacitor
in series.
