Well, sure. But if the amp does not switch in less time than the transceiver
or in the case where one is using a transmitter, it sure is handy to key a
black box and have it key the amp and then the transmitter.
I'm thinking along the lines of my set up here where the receiver is
keyed off and the transmitter keyed on via keying the bias lines
of both. Receiver antenna is coupled to the transmitter tank.
