You must have a capacitor in the system to do that, or an inductor.
You can not do that in a transformer with high mutual coupling from
primary to secondary unless you add an external reactance.
We are talking about parallelling power transformers, and there can
be virtually no phase shift in the transformer if it is a good
transformer for this application.
