Not all C type connectors are the same. The standard version is rated
1000V RMS while the high voltage type is rated at 3000V RMS. For high
voltage version use a UG-628A/U straight plug for RG-213 (MIL-C-17/74).
For chassis mount (single hole mount) use a UG-634/U. This info from a
Delta Electronics Mgf Corp. catalog I just happen to have at home.
For additional info look into MIL-PRF-39012 of MIL-A-55339 military
specifications.
A possible better choice is 7/16 connectors with a rating of 2700V RMS
(all types). Additional info can be found in DIN 47223. These 7/16 get a
bit pricy, but if you are NEEDING such a connector it is a ossibility a
small fortune is already invested in GOOD Coax or hardline, so do not
skimp on the connectros.
N connectrors are rated at 1000V RMS. Did not have rating for UHF
connectors handy but seem to remember 500V RMS.
Hope this info helpful.
