[AMPS] AC on the plates???

If you have single-phase AC service as I have, I suggest using two 813's
back-to-back, each conducting on one-half cycle.  The resulting 120-Hz note
will sound smoother than a 60-Hz note.

Hams with three-phase AC service can use six 813's for a really nice sound.
