With some components, like switches, the only thing that matters 
is what the component really does in the real circuit.

The RSC switch looks very large, but if you look at the smaller 
models the stationary contacts poke out towards the rotor. A small 
sharp edge sticks out towards another sharp edge, and spacing is 
small.

That creates a weak point in voltage breakdown between what, in 
the end-application, is the highest stress point in the switch.

Other than manufacturing a switch (which sounds like a good idea)  
is anyone aware of a large switch other than those by RSC 
(multitec) or the former Centralab?
