I don't see why not, Steve.  Increase L-supp in a copper-wire suppressor 
and Rp decreases.  This lowers VHF amplification.  The fly in the 
ointment is increased dissipation in R-supp on 29MHz.  If R-supp burns 
out, there could be a problem.
