Thanks for posting these links Tom.  I had no idea
this idiots had taken this so far.  This certainly
raises a lot of issues:  biological effects of high
intensity EM radiation, illegality, interference to
other services (including spurious emissons), out of
band operation, and destruction of the reputation of
anyone who has anything to do with radios.

It seems clear that this is as much about engines
screaming at 5000 rpm as it is about radios.  It might
save everybody a lot of time if they just went
straight to penis length measurement and skipped all
the radio stuff.

However, I do believe in freedom.  So maybe we should
turn the discussion to possible ways to accomodate
these guys while protecting ham radio.  Maybe the
power limits should be removed completely for CB but
out of band operation should be punished harshly.  

I think we all deserve to hear from the FCC on this. 
What do they intend to do to protect Ham Radio and the
other services?
