Push pull has some advantages at the higher frequencies, in that the tube
capacities are effectively in series rather than in parallel. At RF, the
theoretical power capabilities are the same; in practice, the lower capacities
of the push pull arrangement may, at some frequencies and in some
configurations, offer higher efficiency, and thus effectively more output. No
guarantee -'mileage may vary' as they say.
