Thank for the many replies on this subject. Here is the info I gathered:
- Info in the 1984, 87, and 88 ARRL Handbooks.
- You can get the manual for the Ameritron AL 1500 that uses the 8877
from them free. They will sell you any part that's in the amp.
- In the 22nd Edition of the W6SAI handbook in the amplifier
construction chapter.
- Far Circuits at
http://www.cl.ais.net/farcir/
provide the following board for $8.00
1500 WATT LINEAR AMPLIFIER (2 BOARD SET - ALC BD AND
CONTROL BD) (CHP 30 FIG 70 AND 71, FIG 13.39A) This is reference to the
ARRL handbook 1995.
- Also Ian White has info on his website about an all inclusive control
board for linear amplifiers. He is at
http://www.ifwtech.demon.co.uk/g3sek
His boards and kits are available at Downeast microwave at:
http://www.downeastmicrowave.com/pre-cat.htm
Under the downeast site:
The HF linear control board can be found under '2 meter products' and it
is listed as TRISUPPCB. It looks like a well put-together board with all
the features one may want. You can buy the bare board or the board with
all the parts.
Thanks for the input
