Hi.

I am building a 2 meter amplifier out of junkbox parts.
The tube is a 4CX350A. The anode compartment is almost finished.
Only the lid is missing.
I have used aluminium to the bottom and brass to the sidewalls.
Now i just found a nice piece of stainless steel that would be
perfect for the lid.

But is it OK to use stainless steel?
I guess that iron is useless because it is magnetic.

The thing is that I want to cut out the lid at work, using a laser
cutter, and brass and aluminium is not very good to cut with the
small cutter that I can get some spare capacity in. Stainless steel
is perfect for laser cutting.
