I had a AL-800H 2 years ago.
It worked OK for me during the 6 months
I owned it. The only thing irritating me
was "the look of the inside".
At that time I thought it looked a bit "cheap",
but then again, it worked OK, and I may have a
wrong attitude against commercial amplifiers....
Just for the reocrds, I have had a AL800H, a AL1200
and a Alpha 91b, all worked OK, and the Alpha was the
one with "the best look" inside. BUT then I got my eyes
on the YC156 tubes, and GOODBYE commercial amps ........
If you roll-em yourself, you know what you gonna get...
Just my oppinion, it may be right or wrong ?!?!
