In the European digital TV broadcasting using OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency
Division Multiplex) they omitted to realise that by coding the signals such
that they never all add up at the same time, they could have saved nearly
16dB in PEP requirements on the tx, for the loss of something 16 code
states. That is one cute thing about OFDM - coding can do a lot for you. Not
very applicable to us though: I don't really see any advantage of digital
speech on HF for us.
