Why not 3CPX5000A7/YC156 ?? They can be found for
something like $300..$350 for fully tested & guaranteed
tubes from people on this reflector.
I KNOW THEY ARE NOT INSTANT ON !!!
But, at 1500 W they will last a lifetime (or a couple of them).
Just beginning my own project on one of these tubes,
autotune, and only 4.2 KV (at the beginning.....)
