:Subject: [AMPS] 3D22A tube data
:Thanks to all who replied with data on this one... guess I won't have
:much use for a thyratron in the near future... maybe make it into
:paperweight, bookend, lamp or other "dust collector". - Bill H.
Don't throw that thyratron away!
In some cases it may be worth it's weight in gold at an Educational
Facility. I often see lasers out of service at schools. You would be
doing a great favor to contact any reasonably close research group(s), to
inquire if a certain thyratron would be needed.
This would be the many advanced groups using said equipment. I know of
two lasers out of service in one lab, both requiring thyratrons. The
mfgrs replacement was well above a cost effective repair. So the purchase
of surplus tubes becomes an option. The mfgr would rather sell a new
laser...
You might make some money, or donate it to a non profit cause if you feel
so inclined.
Just a thought... If that 3D22A is something I can use, I'll send you
and email direct.
cheers
