I always meter the grids independently on multi-tube amps, that is if I
bother to meter them at all. Exact circuit varies with each amps topology.
By the way, one of the tubes must be really mismatched (read that "near
dead") before there will be enough difference to matter in a G-G circuit.
Tetrodes are a whole different matter.
