MFJ owners, like Clinton supporters are known for loyalty, not brains.
OEP switched to Delrin when their ceramic core supplier raised the price.
MFJ wanted to spend less, not more so forced OEP into the Delrin fiasco.
I was told by participants that the MFJ tuner at the ARRL test actually
caught fire as did the replacement unit. As Rich said, that never made
print.
About a year ago, one of MFJ's contract engineers was pimped out to try
and get a name so MFJ could sue. Made a real ass of himself on various
reflectors and got shut down by all.
The ARRL participants were/are all well qualified and reputable people
and shall remain nameless.
