Hi all;
Thanks for all the many responses on my question abt a meter to measure
HV on a VOM. Looks like an older model Simpson 260 or a Triplett
630 will do the trick. Also good idea about using a varic at reduced
input and multiplying up the value. HV probe is something I will also
look into.
If someone has a clean Triplett 630 or Simpson 260 (w/5kv dc jack) I am
interested in getting one here. Have a Fluke 8000A digital desk model
(AC) could do some trading with.
BTW appreciate the concern shown by many for my safety in fooling with
this kind of voltage. Was a communication tech for many years and have
work with lethal voltage before. Still here hi hi :).
