Just a theoretical question: I don't ever operate anything but CW. If I were
building an amplifier, which I'm currently not, what's wrong with a grid-driven
class-C tetrode? I suppose that one would have to use old-fashioned tubes with
robust grids like 4-400a's, of course. The advantage would be considerably
better
efficiency. Comments (be kind, I'm just thinking out loud)?
