That is for full output. At 100W of drive and 5KV 1800W is the norm, at
200W of drive it pushes 4.5KW. Use a tube designed for GG in GG. If you
need higher gain look at the YC156 or a tube with an extra grid.
You can always use a buffer amp such as the AL-84 or LA-1000 ( or the no
tune version). At 400W even those sweep tubes will last for years.
The USA CB 3CX3000A7 crowd use a pair of 4CX250B's as drivers to get up
from the 5W level or a SS module from the 100W level.
