Then please explain why B & W had to do a complete redesign on the
PT-2500 Pi-L before it was marketable as an amplifier...not as a spark
gap?

Having had an "original" Viewstar design and also B&W serial # 1, 6 and 8
here I can attest to the problem that they purchased.
As the first dealer to sell the B&W PT-2500, I can provide much early
insight that I received from Elmer Bush.
