Wondered if anyone has experience with microprocessor-controlled
amplifiers. (eg. SGC SmartPower Cube) Last few years these have had
repuation for distinctively clear audio characteristics.
A friend bought one and while it has excellent construction and clean he
cannot use his rig's speech processor unless it's nearly off (otherwise
sounds muffled). With it off amp sounds very similar to others. Perhaps is
individual hearing perception or a calibration issue. Any feedback on MPU
controlled amps is appreciated - better performance/same? better
reliability/same?
