I've got several tubes including 4CX250B's, Y799 and Y808 (both
conduction version of the 4CX250), 4CX350, 4CX1000A, 3CX5000A7, YC156
(very similar to 3CPX5000A7) etc, that I intend using some time, but
perhaps not immediately. A few are unused, but all are several years
old.

Would there be any point in running the heaters up to full voltage for
several hours to activate the getter ?? Hooking up a heater transformer
and fan would not be difficult, but there is little point if it would do
no good. My main concern is with the 3CX5000A7 and YC156 (both Eimac),
since once one tube gets used, the others will remain unused unless one
dies.
