My delete key works on all this follow on as well as the original
message.

I usually hit delete based on the subject or by the time I am half way
across the first line. My modem is faster than I can read so all of this
doesn't waste much of my time - maybe 10 seconds per message.
Commercials on TV are much worse unless you tape and fast forward.

Just my opinion.
