I would to suggest a simple way of testing unknown material for RF properties. If I am not sure about how much RF a material will handle as a insulator, I just pop it into my Handy Microwave oven and let it fry for a few minutes. If no heating occures at 2.3 ghz it will handle RF at the lower frequencies with out any problem. However be selective because some material can damage the oven's High voltage diodes or kick the breaker.
