--IMO, a design that not take care of 'esoteric details' is not likely to
be reliable. It seems to me that these details aren't as esoteric as
some people purport.

The last Alpha owner I talked to is the President of the So. California
DX Club. He said his Alpha 87A has been back to the factory four times.
I have heard similar reports from about 1/3 of the 80 series owners I
have talked to. Most of the UPS people I have met are pretty nice,
