Amen, Brian. Last month I talked to a fellow whose 87A visited Colorado
four times.
Maybe Santa has an almost perfect amplifier. The month of June should
be plenty early to order one---if it's an in-stock item.
If I owned an AL-1200, I would be tempted to fix the problems I am aware
of. For starters: Faster/quieter switching, removing the inane
"neutralization" circuit, step-start, adj. filament voltage, filament
voltage metering, and better VHF stability..
