Comments:

This was the first time I operated a SSB contest seriously from 6Y. Having lived
here before, I understand the propagation and where to look for the best runs.
However, I constantly had internal thoughts whether to stick to the high-rate vs
high point-per-qso. (EU vs NA/VE). However,, I have never been a LP contestor.
It was very humbling. When I got spotted, it was smooth sailing, but if not, you
really get push around the band.

Either way, it was an extremely fun time. It seems every time we do a contest at
this location, we lose an antenna the day of the contest. The 15m antenna has
been sporadic ever since it went up, but we just never got around to rectifying
the issue prior to the contest. Sadly, right at the start of the contest, the
SWR on the 15m antenna was infinity. That was disappointing, as it felt like
everyone spent their day on 15m. I was able to chip around and get a few mults
to help. But I just knew, my score would have been much higher.

All the other bands performed as they should, and the inverted vee on 40m was
magical. I had a really good run on 40m running EU and NA and getting solid
reports, albeit 100w.

It was refreshing to having my elmers W7ii and W3ACO stopping by to make a
contact. W7ii introduced me to contesting exactly 1 year ago, and here I am.

Anyways, thanks for all the calls. I'll try to get it already for RTTY Roundup.

P.S. I now realize how frustrating it is to say the "6" in 6Y1A.
Thanks for all who worked with me until they were able to figure out what the
heck I was saying.
