Comments:
This may be my favorite contest.. maybe because I don't have to have a huge
tower and antennas to have a good time :)
I started off on Friday night with hopes of the band staying open late, but not
this time.
After about an hour and a half,I took Sharon out to dinner, and forgot about the
contest.
I got up early Saturday morning hoping for a nice EU run,but that didn't
happen...
It was mostly USA stations ,and a few mults like PJ2 and KP4 sprinkled in.
My plan was to RUN on SSB, then before changing to CW, scan the band for mults.
Then switch to CW,and S and P up and down the band to work anyone.
No,I still can't figure out how to get my keyboard to send CW with N1MM.
Thanks to Steve,KL7SB who tried via remote to figure it out,but could not..
Com port issues.
It's been a real pain for a year,and I can't operate RTTY either until I figure
this out.
For 20 hours,I kept doing the same thing..
I never heard CO or NM on either mode, and missed 13 states total on both modes.
At times I felt real loud, and had some very nice runs.
Then the band would just stop, and I heard lots of noise.
At times,I knew people were calling me,but could not pull the out of the noise.
Congrats to KL7SB and VY2TT for some great scores..
Thanks to ZF1A calling me for a new mult..that has never happened before..I
usually am calling them :)
Thanks for the q's,and see you next year.
I hope with a real antenna..but only if Tashjian towers gets their act together
